Regina's Top Priorities
Accountable Leadership for Our Fair Share:
North County needs an accountable, accessible leader. I’ve talked to many neighbors who have never met their County Supervisor or know what they do. When elected, I’ll hold regular Town Hall meetings in every North County community to meet you, listen, and act on your concerns we’re getting our fair share of road repairs, clean drinking water, fire and neighborhood services.
Homelessness:
Our families, friends and neighbors have all been impacted by this crisis. Our State is on track to spend 12 billion dollars on homelessness, yet the problem persists. We need real solutions--not political rhetoric--to attack this crisis with effective services and transitional housing for seniors, veterans, and families living on the streets.
Traffic, Transportation, and Infrastructure:
Monterey County suffers from inadequate roads and crumbling neighborhood infrastructure. As County Supervisor, I will champion a fair distribution of federal, state, and county funds to ensure that North Monterey County receives its fair share of dollars dedicated to investments in neighborhoods especially Santa Rita, Boronda, Castroville, Las Lomas, and rural North Monterey County which continue to suffer from crumbling roads decades of minimal infrastructure investment.
Protecting our Farmland, the Environment, and Preserving Clean Drinking Water:
North Monterey County is home to beautiful environmental landscapes such as Moss Landing, Elkhorn Slough, and our farmland. Many of our neighbors live on wells, and their access to clean drinking water is dependent on responsible county policies. As your County Supervisor, I will prioritize the protection of our farmland, environment, and access to clean drinking water.
